WHAT IS SMOKY QUARTZ
Smoky Quartz is a naturally occurring variety of quartz. Its characteristic brown-to-grey colouring develops when natural radiation interacts with tiny traces of aluminium within the crystal over very long periods of time. Despite its mysterious smoky appearance, it belongs to the same quartz family as Clear Quartz, Rose Quartz and Amethyst. It can occur as transparent crystals with just a whisper of grey, rich tea-coloured specimens, or dramatic dark crystals sometimes known as Morion. And yes — nature really did make something that looks as though somebody trapped smoke inside a crystal. Rather magical, really.

Letting Go
Notice what nourishes your heart.
Notice the people, places and moments that matter.
Offer kindness freely. To yourself and others.
Smoky Quartz
GROUNDING, CONNECTION,
AND LETTING GO
Some stones seem to sparkle for attention. Smoky Quartz feels more like the one quietly sitting beside you saying,
“You can put that
down now.”
Here I am. Here is the ground. This moment is enough.

JOURNAL ENTRY 05
LOVE
The Frequency of Connection
A reflection from The Art Tonic Journal
Love is often spoken about as something outside ourselves.
Something to search for.
Something to earn.
Something to hold onto.
But love begins much closer than that.
It begins with presence.
With compassion.
With the willingness to meet ourselves exactly as we are.
From that place, connection becomes possible.

You are Loved
Why we need love
Connection is a fundamental human need.
We thrive when we feel seen.
Heard.
Valued.
Loved.
Love reminds us that we are not separate.
We belong.
"Where there is love there is life."
— Mahatma Gandhi

Our environment shapes how we feel.
Soft textures.
Warm light.
Meaningful objects.
Gentle reminders of what matters most.
Create a space that feels welcoming to both yourself and others.

Creating a loving atmosphere

A gentle love practice
Think of three things you appreciate about yourself.
Think of three people who have supported you.
Send one kind message today.
Offer yourself the same compassion you would offer a friend.

* What does love mean to me?
* When do I feel most connected?
* What qualities do I appreciate in myself?
* How can I show myself more kindness?
* What relationships nourish my spirit?
